I (Daddy) took Avery to play at the park Saturday while Mommy caught up on some things at home. She loves the swings....and didn't want to get off them even though she was really tired....

Our little booger...here's a bunch from tonight

I got some shots while Avery had a little supper and played with her kitchen set. She's got booger residue on her nose, crumbs on her mouth, and a little battle scar on her forehead from a fight she lost with the table. I like real life stuff like that ... mostly because I'm not good enough with photoshop to remove it.

I dig this little canon 50mm f1.8 lens - its a cheapo, but sharp and great for natural light indoors. I read once that every photographer should be forced to use a basic 50mm lense (without zoom, image stabilization, etc) for a month before moving on to more advanced lenses. I'm giving it a try...until I need telephoto.

Grandma's flowers

This little lady built her house on our water spigot....so I kept her fat and happy by tossing in grasshoppers every day....great entertainment. She sucked out their guts and left the shells laying in the grass below her web. Whatever got tossed in was processed by the next morning.
